The inaugural edition of the Benny Bowl Bash will be the final stop on the Canley Cup contest series in 2026. The series winners will be crown at the conclusion of the Benny Bowl Bash. 2019 saw Vans Park Series come to Montreal’s Vans skatepark. The Benny skatepark was designed to give skateboarders an easier entry point into big bowl skating than the Vans skatepark. The Benny Bowl Bash was created to motivate young and old skateboarders to progress their transition skating. Montreal’s lack of large transition obstacles over the years has created some of Canada’s best street skaters but also create very few skaters with good airs or inverts, tricks that are part of vertical skateboarding. Ash Bowl Bash has done a great job at progressing vertical skateboarding in Toronto. A family oriented event, a contest, a reason for skaters to session together and hype each other. First time drop-ins, first time grinds in the deep end, and first time airs above coping happen every year. The motivational push of a contest environment and the support of fellow competitors pushes many competitors to accomplish amazing personal feats.
